  • Beginning November 28 at noon ET, the first 250 visitors to sign up will receive a free bag of nuggets, a holiday plate, and an audio card for Santa.

This year, it seems like everyone is on a quest to eat protein — including Santa Claus. And Perdue wants to deliver exactly the right amount of chicken nuggets that the big guy needs to power his worldwide adventure.

On Wednesday, the brand announced its holiday chicken nuggets in four festive shapes, available in grocery stores for a limited time. The shapes, it explained, include a candy cane, Christmas tree, gingerbread man, and stocking, and are all made with “premium white meat.”

“These holiday nuggets capture what families love most about Perdue — high-quality protein, great taste, and a little bit of fun,” Todd Tillemans, the chief commercial officer at Perdue, shared with Food & Wine. “And the joy doesn’t end on December 25. Our Perdue ‘elves’ are always innovating to bring families delicious new products made with high-quality chicken and accompanied by our ‘No Antibiotics Ever’ promise. We’re excited for what’s coming in 2026 — magic, mealtime moments, and reasons to gather.”

Available for a limited time, Perdue’s holiday nuggets come in fun shapes like trees and stockings. And starting November 28, the first 250 fans to sign up on Perdue’s website will snag a free bag.

To spread some holiday magic, the team at Perdue even did the math on how much protein Santa would need to stay fueled for his journey around the world. According to Perdue, the average person should aim for 50-175 grams of protein daily. But, on Christmas Eve, Santa would need to consume “ than 20 tons of protein to travel the world and deliver gifts, or the equivalent of nearly 10 million chicken nuggets.” Which, honestly, sounds pretty tasty. Perdue even thinks you should help Santa on his journey, noting “To keep Santa energized and jolly this season, we believe families should be leaving out nuggets and BBQ sauce, not just milk and cookies.”

To further help people celebrate the season, Perdue is giving 250 lucky individuals a bag of the limited-edition holiday-shaped chicken nuggets. To get yours, simply be among the first to visit perdue.com/deckthehalls on November 28 at 12 p.m. ET and sign up. The first 250 people will also receive an exclusive Perdue holiday plate and a holiday audio card to leave out for Santa and his elves. This way, you can secure a spot on the “nice” list next year.
