Hailey Bieber Makes Bold New Years Hair Transformation See The Look

Hailey Bieber is adding a little swag to her signature look.

Ahead of the new year, the Rhode founder and mom, 29, decided it was time to switch up her brunette locks, and thanks to her hairstylist Justine Marjan, we got a glimpse of it.

On Dec. 14, Marjan, whose clients include Khloé Kardashian, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ariana Madix, posted an

revealing Bieber’s “fresh cut” that took her usually long waves into a textured and middle-parted shoulder-length bob.

While this isn’t the shortest look Bieber has done (her 2023 chin-length bob wins that title), the chop marks a new start for the star, whose been rocking long hair for the past few months. Her transformation also points to what is looking like one of the biggest hair trends to come up in 2026 (and as well all know, Bieber is the ultimate trendsetter).

In addition to Bieber, stars including Keke Palmer and Sydney Sweeney (with the help of their hired hair pros) have reintroduced shorter haircuts into the beauty space. And Marjan’s work on Bieber is just one of the many ways we can see it showing up this winter and beyond. For PEOPLE StyleWatch’s holiday issue, celeb stylist Carrillo forecasted collarbone-grazing “lobs” as a style we’ll see on the up, especially with those with “textured or curly hair.”

Another way Bieber has been closing out the year is with quality time with husband Justin Bieber and their son, Jack Blues.

In November, the parents of one celebrated Thanksgiving with chilled family time and the model’s freshly baked cinnamon rolls. Earlier this month, the couple, who wed in 2018, also flew out to Japan in support of the singer’s fashion brand SKYLRK and its pop-up store in Japan, where they debuted the new “Hailey Gray” colorway.

She’s also had a lot to celebrate with the passing of her 29th birthday, which was celebrated with a chic birthday dinner on Nov. 20. The skincare mogul commemorated the last year of her 20s with a bow-adorned five-tier birthday cake in a sexy leather look. She then hosted another get-together complete with a minimalist all-white birthday cake and a casual look of jeans and a sparkly sequin top. “Best week ringing in 29,” she wrote.
