The legend’s brand was previously linked to the American company Sport 10, but it has not been exploited adequately since Pele’s death in December 2022 at the age of 82 after suffering from colon cancer.

Pele has an immortal place in the history of Santos, as he scored 643 goals in 659 matches between 1956 and 1974, before moving to the New York Cosmos and retiring in 1977.

The Neymar deal aims to repurpose Pele’s name and image commercially and globally, including licensed products and the use of historical footage.

As part of his endeavor to honor the legend, Neymar recently sponsored the renovation of the box designated for the Pele family at Villa Belmiro Stadium, where the update included new seats, separating glass, and a modern air conditioning system.
