“She shows me how to do makeup really simply,” Cox shares.
For instance, she says, “She taught me how to wear blush. I thought blush was over here,” Cox says, gesturing to her cheekbones, “and it’s really on the apples of your cheek.”
Coco has also proven to be a brow muse.
“She has the most beautiful eyebrows ever, they’re just gorgeous,” Cox gushes. “When I look back at pictures from 10, 20 years ago, when I’m trying to do some kind of post, I had minute eyebrows for much longer than when it was in fashion,” she says. “So, one of the things I like now is thicker eyebrows like hers.”

Cox says Coco has also helped her make fashion choices, though, she admits, “Some of the things the girls are doing now I don’t follow.”
Still, “If it passes the Coco test,” it’s good with her.

“She’s the coolest girl I know,” Cox says.
Coco also played a huge role in the creation of Cox’s first-ever body care collection, Cocomoi, coming up with the mood board for the campaign.
“I just gave her some adjectives,” Cox says. “I said, ‘I want the smell of coconut, obviously, and I want it to feel wet, but I want it to not be a summer thing. And, it’s got cedarwood, so I want it to feel woodsy.’ I gave her those three things, and she goes, ‘Got it. Leave me alone. I’ve got it.’”
The result? “She came up with something incredible,” Cox says. “She’s got great taste.”

Cece, which is Cox’s signature scent, has a strong connection to Cocomoi. The latter is “something that I made specifically for me and Coco,” Cox explains. They’re also bound by one of Cox’s favorite aromas, cedarwood, which isn’t in the rest of the core collection.
Of Cocomoi’s coconut-focused yet seasonless aroma, Cox says, “I love coconut, but it couldn’t be something you could only wear in the summer, I didn’t want to make something that smelled like sunscreen.”
“I went into the perfumery and I took the ingredients that I love the most: vanilla, but only a little bit, pepper, and of course cedarwood. And I got all these glass containers to mix things with, and I put together two scents that I really loved.”

She continues, “I was really hoping that Coco would pick the one that I liked the most, even though they were both pretty good. One was a little sweeter than the other. And she came in and she picked the one that was Cocomoi.”
Cox loves every product in the collection — she switches between this and the Cece body wash — but this mist might have the edge.
“I spray it every day, I am obsessed,” Cox says.

One thing Coco and Cox perhaps don’t agree on? Cox’s home decor.
Cox is an interior design aficionado, but their aesthetic doesn’t match, she says, explaining, “She thinks that I have the most bland palette in my house. It’s very earthy and dark.”

Yet there’s another person with whom Cox can bond over a similar aesthetic: Jennifer Aniston. The LolaVie founder previously told PEOPLE that interior design is their “love language.”

“It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it’s what we love,” Aniston said in August.
Cox smiles hearing Aniston’s take, “I imagine it’s not as interesting for everyone as it is for us.”
