The King Of Morocco Sends A Message To The Players Of The National Football Team After Losing The African Cup Final

King Mohammed VI said in his telegram that reaching the final is an honorable continental achievement, appreciating the seriousness, perseverance and high team spirit demonstrated by the players, the technical, medical and administrative staff, as well as the officials of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

He stressed that this path reflects the ability of Moroccan and African youth to achieve excellence when they have confidence in their qualifications.

The Moroccan King pointed out that the heroic performance and composure shown by the team constitute evidence of the validity of the Kingdom’s strategic vision to invest in the human element and develop sports infrastructure, in line with preparations to host the 2030 World Cup.

The King also considered that Morocco’s hosting of the African Championship, with the quality of its organization and the warm reception it received, represents a message of hope and confidence from Morocco to the African continent, confirming the ability of African genius to innovate and succeed in various fields.

At the conclusion of his message, King Mohammed VI praised the Moroccan fans who supported the team throughout the tournament, calling on the players to continue working and making efforts to achieve achievements and honor Moroccan football in international forums.

The Moroccan national team finished as runner-up in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, after losing the final match to the Senegal national team with an unanswered goal, in the match that was held on Sunday evening at Moulay Abdullah Stadium in the capital, Rabat, so that the Senegalese national team won its second continental title in its history.
