It’s no secret that Duchess Kate is a fan of pulling out old, timeless pieces from her wardrobe to re-wear again and again. Now, her latest bout of recycled fashion features the dress she wore to the 2015 christening of her daughter.

Today, the Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband, Prince William, for a surprise appearance at Westminster Abbey to commemorate Anzac Day, the national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand.

For the occasion, Kate re-wore the same ivory white Alexander McQueen coat dress that she stepped out in for Princess Charlotte’s christening nearly seven years ago. Still, she added some modern touches to the outfit, wearing a tweed halo headband from London-based milliner Jane Taylor, plus her beloved pair of black Gianvito Rossi suede pumps. Accessories included Princess Diana’s pearl drop earrings and a black suede clutch from Jenny Packham.

Meanwhile, Prince William looked dashing in a dark suit, white button-up, and a striped red-and-blue tie.

The royal couple also fastened red poppy pins, a symbol of sacrifice and remembrance, to their lapels.

The Duchess of Cambridge last re-wore an outfit at this year’s royal Easter Sunday service, held at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel. Appearing alongside William and two of their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate recycled a bespoke baby blue dress designed by Emilia Wickstead that was previously seen during a 2017 visit to Luxembourg. She accessorized in monochrome, with a dark blue hat, slate-toned heels, and a pastel clutch.
